Vida no Campus

Programa de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu em Odontologia

On UNIP Campuses

UNIP campuses are located throughout Brazil. Postgraduate students will attend some of the campuses located in the city of São Paulo, where classes are taught and the practical part of the projects is developed. Students from all over Brazil and from Latin American countries meet and exchange experiences in their free time, or in the campus restaurants and cafeterias. People with diverse professional backgrounds in the areas of human and veterinary health exchange experiences during the course and promote multidisciplinary discussions that contribute to their professional and academic growth.

To access the campuses, you must have a UNIP student ID card.

On campus, you will have access to the Library, the computer room for students, research laboratories, and the faculty room, which will always be available both physically and remotely.

The areas surrounding the campuses offer excellent restaurants, cafeterias, and bars that serve a "by weight" system, as well as those classified as five-star establishments, therefore, for all budgets. In addition to excellent restaurants, a huge network of cinemas and theaters showing blockbusters and world premieres can be accessed after a session of experiments.

All campuses are served by a public transportation system that is specifically designed to pass through points located in the block of the main building.

Student Life

PPGO students travel from their homes or workplaces to UNIP laboratories for classes or experiments. There are public and private parking lots around the campuses, and excellent access to public transportation. It's not uncommon to have to move between units, so be prepared to explore some corners of the city of São Paulo!

Living in São Paulo

São Paulo is the main city of one of the world's largest metropolises. It is the largest city in the Southern Hemisphere and the eighth largest in the world in terms of population. In economic terms, it has the third largest GDP in Brazil, surpassed only by the state of São Paulo and the country itself. It's a city that vibrates 24 hours a day, every day. For studying, UNIP's various campuses allow you to explore all corners of the city, which in itself is a tourist adventure to discover the different neighborhoods of this great city.

Since life isn't just about studying, São Paulo offers numerous opportunities for leisure, gastronomy, culture, education, and, when necessary, healthcare.

São Paulo has several municipal parks, which are full of families, athletes, and pets on weekends and holidays. The most famous in the city is Ibirapuera Park, but others also stand out, such as Aclimação Park, Carmo Park, Água Branca Park, Trianon Park, the São Paulo Botanical Garden, Horto Florestal, as well as state parks like Villa Lobos State Park and Cantareira State Park, among many others.

São Paulo is one of the main gastronomic centers of the Southern Hemisphere. In its bars and restaurants, from the simplest to the most sophisticated, world cuisine is showcased, offering a true journey through the five continents: Italy, Portugal, Germany, France, China, Japan, India, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Egypt, Morocco, and national cuisine is celebrated, with dishes from the Northeast, North, South, Midwest, and neighboring states.

If the intention is to take a cultural tour, the theaters, cinemas, the Pinacoteca, the Municipal Libraries, and the Cultural Center can be part of your itinerary. Films ranging from the latest releases to blockbusters, or that alternative film you only see at the Film Festival, are available in cinemas throughout the city. The Sala São Paulo is home to the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra, a classic building whose architecture dates back to the Coffee Cycle period, as does the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, where music of all eras and excellent quality can be enjoyed.

The city boasts a hospital network encompassing everything from those serving the Unified Health System (SUS) to private hospitals, all with protocols for medical and hospital care considered a benchmark, both nationally and internationally.

If shopping is your goal, the various shopping centers and Rua 25 de Março (a famous shopping street in São Paulo) are your best choice! Stores specializing in electronics, tools, art supplies, laboratory materials, raw materials for cosmetics, grains, spices, and many others are easily found in the city's central neighborhoods.

Getting around the city is easy, with many bus, metro, and train options, as well as a vast network of parking lots if you're traveling by car. Taxi and ride-sharing services are also available.

Accommodation

São Paulo offers a wide range of housing options if the student is not a resident and chooses to live near the campuses. As prices vary greatly depending on the region, rental services, hotels, Airbnb, and guesthouses can be accessed on specialized websites.
