Objectives
- To promote the training of researchers and professional development in the field of Production Engineering.
- To develop scientific and technological studies aimed at application in companies.
- To develop in students the concept of production with ethics, social and environmental responsibility.
- Address the impacts of new production technologies on society, in terms of management, organization and employment.
- To train teachers for higher education.
- To award Master's and Doctoral degrees in Production Engineering.
The program also aims to:
- To train academic leaders who contribute to the establishment of scientific, technological, social and professional qualification policies.
- To train teachers to develop a critical view of national and international development and perspectives.
- Provide students in the program with opportunities to experience various productive sectors and their stages of development, through illustrations and technical visits.
- To train graduate professionals from underprivileged regions of Brazil by offering inter-institutional master's and/or doctoral degrees.
- Encourage the internationalization of students through participation in events, internships and sandwich scholarship programs at foreign institutions.
- Addressing the impacts of new production technologies on society, especially on management, organization and employment.
- Promoting partnerships with companies to accompany changes in production systems in the face of new technologies based on connectivity.
